Mrs. Chisum

Mrs. Chisum assures us that even though she was a big-city girl later in life, she was born in a small Kansas town.  She lived in Pratt, Kansas until she was ten years old, at which time her family moved to Amarillo.  She graduated from Amarillo High School, then left Texas to pursue a traveling career as a flight attendant for United Airlines.  Mrs. Chisum lived in Los Angeles for 7 years, until she was involved in a car wreck and had to have back surgery, which ended her flight attendant career.  She moved back to Amarillo and eventually enrolled her Doberman in a dog obedience class where she met her future husband, Matt.

Mrs. Chisum and Matt dated for 3 LONG years, finally marrying and moving to Stinnett with their two children, Brett and Kristen.  She went back to college, earning an Associate's degree, then went on to West Texas State University, where she completed her bachelor's degree.  She worked at West Texas Elementary School, teaching 4th and 5th grade History, Math, and Reading for 9 years.  She decided to go back to school one more time, finishing her Masters degree at West Texas A&M University.  She then worked as the counselor at Champs Academy in Fritch.  From Champs, she came back to the West Texas Schools, where she has been counseling students as well as adults at West Texas Middle School for the past three years.

Mrs. Chisum is very proud of her children, Brett and Kristen.  Her pride and joy, however, is her precious granddaughter, Karley.
