Mrs. Amaro was born in Wichita Falls, TX, at General Hospital. Question: Is that THE General Hospital... the one mentioned in the soap opera, General Hospital??? Could be!
Mrs. Amaro grew up in Bluegrove and Henrietta, Texas. She and her family lived in Bluegrove until she was five years old, then moved to Bridge Street in Henrietta. Mrs. Amaro graduated from Henrietta High School...GO BEARCATS! What is a bearcat? Is it a bear? Or a cat? Oh, well...ask Mrs. Amaro.
Mrs. Amaro graduated from McMurry College in Abilene, Texas. "Ala cumba!!!", says Mrs. Amaro...who knows what that means?! Anyway...she graduated with a BS in Education and Physical Education.
Having taught at Phillips Independent School District before the consolidation, Mrs. Amaro became a teacher at West Texas Elementary when Phillips Elementary School closed a couple of years after consolidation. This is Mrs. Amaro's second year as a Science and Reading teacher at West Texas Middle School. She fits in well with all of us at the Plemons Unit. We're happy to have her here!
